Braces & Clear Aligners

Personalised orthodontic care using braces or clear aligners to improve tooth alignment, bite function and long-term smile confidence.

Braces & Clear Aligners

Straighter teeth with a plan built around you

Orthodontic treatment applies gentle, controlled pressure to move teeth into healthier positions. It can address crowding, gaps, crooked teeth and certain bite problems. The best appliance depends on the complexity of the case, your oral health, lifestyle and ability to follow the treatment plan.

Braces or clear aligners?

Fixed braces use brackets and wires and can manage a wide range of tooth and bite movements. Clear aligners are custom-made removable trays that are discreet and can be taken out for eating and cleaning. Aligners require consistent wear and are not the most predictable option for every case.

What the process involves

  • Consultation, dental and gum-health check.
  • Clinical records such as photographs, scans or impressions, and X-rays when indicated.
  • A personalised plan explaining the appliance, expected stages, limitations and fees.
  • Regular review appointments to monitor movement and oral health.
  • Retainers after active treatment to help hold the result.

Looking after your smile

Excellent brushing and cleaning between teeth are essential during treatment. With braces, avoid foods that can break brackets or wires. With aligners, remove the trays to eat, clean your teeth before replacing them, and wear them exactly as prescribed.

Frequently asked questions

Am I too old for orthodontic treatment?

Adults can be treated as well as teenagers, provided the teeth and supporting tissues are healthy enough.

How long will treatment take?

Timing varies widely with the starting problem and the movements required. Your dentist will provide an estimate after assessment.

Will I need retainers?

Yes. Teeth can shift after treatment, so retainers are an important part of protecting your result.

Please note: Suitability for braces or aligners can only be confirmed after a complete orthodontic assessment.
